On your lunch break? Have meetings scheduled? On the hunt for the best coffee in Leeds? Don’t worry, we have you sorted.
Here at Haystack, it’s no secret that we are huge Coffee lovers and we thought we would share with you our top 4 Coffee Shops that you need to try in the city centre of Leeds.
IF has two cafes in Leeds, one on Call Lane and one on Vicar Lane which is handy as this one is situated just below our offices. This specific café is more of a grab and go but if you did want to sit inside the dog friendly café, we would recommend the one on Call Lane. They also have a selection of brunch options and are well known for their delicious homemade cakes. Our top recommendation would be the peanut butter bagels – DELICIOUS!
Step inside Mrs Atha’s where you will be in safe hands with their extensively trained baristas. This café is super popular, make sure you get there early as you might have to wait for a table but trust us when we say – it’s worth the wait. Their coffee is provided by their sister brand, Maude Coffee in which they source their beans from farms around the world. We can highly recommend the breakfast and make sure you try a selection of their tasty sweet treats.
Out of the Woods
You might have to venture a little out of the city centre for this one however, on a positive note, it’s located just underneath the train station. We personally feel it’s worth the walk for the mochas alone and don’t even get us started on the range of sandwiches, soups and salads that are on offer at lunch time.
Flamingos Coffee House
This quirky café is the first late night LGBTQ+ coffee house in Leeds and the coffee really does speak for itself. The team are super friendly and have a selection of coffees from espresso to cappuccinos and the best hot chocolates using chocolate buttons – YUM! They also have lactose-free and vegan milk alternatives on offer. If you’re feeling slightly peckish, Flamingos has an all-day brunch menu and a variety of different sweet treats daily.
